As people we rely on four main elements for our wellbeing and lives. The four main elements are sunlight, air, water and earth. If we did not have any one of these elements we simply would not exist!. There would be no life without the sun and sunlight. However, as we all know too much of a good thing is also not a good thing and this applies to sunlight and ultraviolet light rays.
UV or ultraviolet light (rays) are emitted by the sun and comprise of three different types: UVA, UVB and UVC. UVC rays are the most dangerous to humans but fortunately, these are filtered out in the earth atmosphere. UVB rays (the ones which cause sunburn) and UVA rays do reach the earth's surface. The exact strength of UVB and UVA varies dramatically depending upon where you live and on the position of the sun. UVB and UVA levels are always the highest between the hours of 11 am and 1 pm. In fact, UV levels can increase as much as 50% during this time!.
Ultra violet or UV light is actually invisible, this is one reason, people, sunburn as they are unaware of the intensity and the amount of time they are exposing themselves to the suns rays. On average sunbathers expose themselves to sunlight around 3 to 3.5 hours per day. Unfortunately, this is too long and people don't realise they have burnt their skin until it is too late!.
Sunbed lamps from a sunbed hire simulate the sun and emit UVA and UVB but they go a stage further and control the output with a balance of UV to minimise the risk of burning and maximise the tanning. As we know – no one controls the sun but you can control a sunbed by making sure you do not overexpose your tanning by sticking to a specific sunbed exposure times. The exposure times are calculated in accordance with your particular skin type, which varies from Type 1 to Type 6.
For convenience most clients choose to use a sunbed in their own home in Doncaster rather than use a salon. With the introduction of the 0.3 compliance regulations, there are no benefits to using a salon sunbed compared to choosing Coco for your sunbed. A 0.3 sunbed tanning session delivers the same tanning effect as the mid-day Mediterranean summer sun but without the risk of burning. This latest tanning technology means your tan will be deeper and longer-lasting.
If you are planning a holiday, special occasion, wedding or just want to look healthy and tanned contact Coco Sunbeds today!
